Calf Crop
This year we have calves sired by Lagrand Reload 80P, PW Victor Boomer P606 , KJ Recruit, KT Top Secret, and BR DM Channing as well as calves by our herdsires C&L Forte 122L 10N, Feltons Jedi 154,
Feltons 621, Star Durham 351N and
Stewart Wrangler 704 M38.
Calves are culled at weaning and
sometimes again as yearlings, if they do not meet
our expectations.
Bull calves that are kept are sold for commercial
herd bulls usually at 16 months to 2 years of age.
We typically sell 10 to 15 bulls a year. Heifer calves that are kept go back into the herd for replacements, or sold as seedstock. We usually
sell 8 to 12 heifers a year.
